Queens Community Board 3 conducts public hearings for issues that may impact the overall community. Applicants are provided an opportunity to present their proposals at the full board meeting where the community is invited to weigh-in by asking questions and registering their concerns. At the end of the process, board members will review and vote on the application and submit its recommendation to the responsible New York City, State or Federal agency.

We encourage all members of the community to attend public hearings and participate in the review process.  This is an opportunity for the community’s voice to be heard and also to  obtain important information about what is happening in the district.

Important to note that you do not have to register to speak on Public Hearing items on the agenda but you must be present at the time that the matter is being heard.
